part of my thesis collection, a study into the concept of happiness. this particular series looked into what the world had to say about happiness, I chose to focus on wabi sabi : being okay with the imperfect nature of the world. being a jeweler and designer we're typically predisposed to a little perfectionism so learning to find the balance and see my work through another's eyes was fascinating. taking particular inspiration from the japanese rock gardens where lines are drawn in the sand repetitively. they say that these lines are a representation of the artist's mind demonstrating how skillful, patience and calm they are. a reflection of the years and years of work.
